Bello Horizonte, Escazu - An exceptional, 11,000-ft2 (1,000-m2) Spanish Colonial house (former inn/B&B) atop a hill with a spectacular view of the Central Valley, very close to downtown Escazú but in a very peaceful area. The main part of the structure has eight tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms, each with King or Queen beds. Each room has beautiful, handcrafted wood furniture, comfortable chairs, remote-controlled Cable TV, direct-dial telephone for local and international calling, and ceiling fan. All of the rooms have their own baths. Most of the rooms have private patios. There are also two new, elegant studio apartments that are excellent for long-term guests. The apartments each have their own private entrance, direct phone line, cable TV, laundry facilities, porch/balcony, sitting area, fully equipped kitchennette, tiled European bath, sleeping area, and all the amenities and elegance of the inn.
The main part of the inn also has a nice entryway, check-in area, dining area, nice large social area with fireplace and view, adjoining formal dining/conference area with the view, separate sitting/reading/TV area, nice kitchen, gorgeous manager/owner's apartment (two bedrooms, living room with fireplace and view, bath with area for sauna, private terrace, etc.), office area (could be made into additional rooms), large laundry area, etc. The grounds on the 2/3-acre (2,500-m2) property are immaculate, with lots of lush vegetation, private sitting areas, pathways, etc.
Guests can gather in the large common area or on the open back terrace to watch the sun go down and the city lights begin to glow. There is also a small bar area to accommodate guests. Care and fine attention to detail, along with top-quality material and finishings, are evident throughout.
The inn recently closed, so the permits/licenses are no longervalid(but you may apply for new ones). It would also serve as an excellent private home, recovery center, corporate retreat, etc. US$695,000 (price just slashed for a quick sale!!)
